Kings Cross Area Guide
The regeneration of King's Cross over the last ten years has been the largest redevelopment of a brownfield site since Canary Wharf and has transformed the area (and it isn't finished yet!) With the arrival of the Eurostar, this is now the largest transport hub in Europe and connects Scotland and the north with central Europe and beyond. However, the area is also home to some significant cultural centres. The British Library is next door to St Pancras, the London Sinfonietta is now based at King's Place, as is the Guardian and the Observer, and the Gagosian Gallery also moved into the area in 2004. This is all a far cry from when The Ladykillers was filmed here in 1955!
